The Valley bucks national trend in the run-up to Christmas
Freezing weather, rail strikes, and the cost of living crisis has hit the high street this Christmas, but not at The Valley, with the scheme posting record footfall in the run-up to Christmas, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
Bosses at The Valley credit the centre's events team for delivering a successful Christmas event programme for the impressive result. Director, Phil Maclean, commented:
"It's been a brilliant Christmas period seeing so many families come and make some magical memories. A personal thank you to our whole team, led by Emily Burton, who have worked so hard to make it all happen and to continue to put the centre on the map'.
Two hugely successful events in the past week included The Valley's Annual Christmas Dog Parade, a wacky and wonderful festive treat for all dog lovers and the visit of Julia Donaldson's Stick Man Character, which drew large queues of excited young families keen for selfies to share via social media.
